CAIRO: The United Arab Emirates participated in the second meeting of Arab Ministers on Disaster Risk Reduction, which was recently held at the headquarters of the League of Arab States in Cairo. Ali Rashid Al Neyadi, Director-General of the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), led the UAE delegation, which included representatives from various government agencies. Al Neyadi emphasised the meeting's importance as a platform for strengthening Arab cooperation and aligning efforts to address crises and disasters. In his speech at the opening session, Al Neyadi expressed the UAE's pride in contributing to the development of the Arab Coordination Mechanism for Disaster Risk Reduction during the 4th meeting. This reflects the country's commitment to collaborative action in disaster preparedness.
