Abu dhabi: The UAE will experience varying rainfall patterns and shifting wind conditions until Wednesday, as it comes under the influence of a weak weather system associated with a low-pressure trough. This system is expected to bring cloud cover moving from west to east across the region.
According to Emirates News Agency, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has indicated that cloud activity will increase from early Tuesday, persisting until midday Wednesday. The rainfall will range from light to moderate over scattered areas, with the possibility of heavy rainfall in certain eastern and northern regions.
The NCM has also reported that winds will initially be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate in speed, but may freshen with cloud activity. By Wednesday afternoon, the winds are expected to shift to northwesterly, becoming moderate to fresh, and occasionally strong, especially over marine areas. This change in wind patterns is anticipated to raise dust and sand in exposed regions, potentially leading to a drop in temperatures.
Sea conditions are forecasted to be slight to moderate, becoming rough at times with cloud activity. By Wednesday afternoon, the Arabian Gulf is expected to turn rough to very rough at times, while the Oman Sea will be occasionally rough.
