Abu dhabi: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), in collaboration with federal and local health authorities, is set to represent the UAE at the World Health Expo (WHX) 2026 under the unified national platform 'Emirates Health'. This platform aims to present a cohesive national vision focused on building healthier lives and enhancing long-term well-being across the nation.
According to Emirates News Agency, the participation underscores a national commitment to bolstering public health, prioritizing prevention, and applying innovation on a large scale. It also emphasizes advancing coordinated national leadership to support long-term growth, resilience, and prosperity. MoHAP, along with the Emirates Drug Establishment, Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, Dubai Health Authority, Sharjah Health Authority, and UAE Integrative Medicine Council (UAEIMC), will take part under the Emirates Health banner.
The collective presence is aligned with a strategic national vision aimed at advancing population health, enhancing prevention, and shaping long-term health outcomes in line with the UAE's broader development priorities, including the UAE Centennial 2071. During the exhibition, the entities will present a national health vision centered on prevention, preparedness, and longer, healthier lives, supported by policy leadership, regulation, and the responsible use of innovation and data.
As part of their participation, several national initiatives will be highlighted to demonstrate how policy, regulation, and innovation work in tandem to support population health. These initiatives include the Health Policy and Legislation Smart Platform, the AI-powered Behavioural Insights Platform, the development of the national organ transplantation system, and the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Disease Registry system Bayan.
The Ministry and participating health entities aim to strengthen cooperation and knowledge exchange with regional and international partners. The program includes specialized workshops addressing topics such as genomics, behavioral insights, medical liability, health adaptation, and integrative medicine best practice adoption. Additionally, several agreements with local and international entities will be signed to advance collaboration and support the continued development of healthcare services.
These initiatives highlight how policy leadership, regulation, and innovation play a crucial role in improving population health and outcomes. By employing data-driven planning and evidence-based approaches, the UAE continues to enhance efficiency, preparedness, and long-term health impact while advancing national priorities focused on prevention and future readiness.
