UAEU College of Business and Economics Secures EQUIS International Accreditation

Al ain: The College of Business and Economics at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) has achieved the EQUIS international accreditation, a prominent accreditation for business and management schools awarded by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD). This milestone underscores the College's status among globally acknowledged business schools, highlighting its dedication to maintaining the highest standards of academic excellence, quality, and research.

According to Emirates News Agency, EQUIS is recognized as one of the most comprehensive international accreditation systems in management education, assessing various facets of institutional and academic performance. The evaluation covers governance, strategy, academic programs, research, internationalisation, corporate engagement, partnerships, and societal impact.

The EQUIS Peer Review Team identified several strengths within the College, such as its supportive and collaborative academic atmosphere, faculty members with international experience, significant contributions to research and teaching, advanced student support services, high research productivity, and extensive international collaborations.

The review report also acknowledged the College's state-of-the-art learning facilities, a culture of quality and continuous improvement bolstered by over twenty years of AACSB accreditation, and its commitment to sustainability, ethics, and social responsibility. Additionally, the College's critical role in developing national talent and its academic and societal contributions on both regional and international fronts were highlighted, reinforcing UAEU's standing as a leading global institution in higher education and research.
