Udine:Italian football club Udinese has announced the departure of German coach Kosta Runjaic, appointing Paolo Zanetti as his replacement following a string of poor performances that have left the team struggling in the Serie A relegation zone.
According to Sharjah 24, the decision to replace Runjaic came after Udinese's significant 5–2 defeat at home against Roma, marking their seventh loss in eight league matches. This poor run of form has resulted in Udinese occupying the 19th position in the league, with only five points from 10 matches, standing just two points above bottom-placed Venezia.
Runjaic's exit concludes his over two-year tenure at the club. Udinese has confirmed that Zanetti's contract extends until 30 June 2027, contrary to earlier reports that suggested it would be a short-term deal until the end of the current season.
