The platform is an outcome of the Economic Data Retreat, where extensive discussions focused on strengthening the national statistics system, its governance, and data exchange between entities. It will create a unified, smart national ecosystem that enhances the quality and reliability of national data, driving the UAE's transformation toward smart statistics.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of Foreign Trade, stated that the transition marks a shift from traditional data compilation to managing knowledge with smart statistics. He emphasized that the Unified UAE Numbers platform opens new possibilities for decision-makers to leverage data, enhancing development, competitiveness, and the UAE's global status.

She noted that the platform represents a significant step in the government's digital transformation, fostering a unified approach and empowering entities with trusted data.
Al Hammadi also mentioned the platform's role as a product of the Economic Data Retreat, involving 28 national entities to establish 380 economic indicators and a unified framework for GDP data. She emphasized the importance of data in policy formulation, prioritization, and performance monitoring, ensuring governance is data-driven to enhance the UAE's readiness for AI adoption and regulatory agility.
