New york: US stocks closed mixed on Monday as investors awaited signals from major technology companies during a busy week of quarterly earnings announcements.
According to Emirates News Agency, the S and P 500 edged up 1.45 points, or 0.02 percent, to close at 7,413.43, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 41.21 points, or 0.16 percent, to 24,934.61. Meanwhile, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 255.58 points, or 0.49 percent, to finish at 52,202.83.
