BANGKOK: Airports of Thailand (AoT) is prepared to accommodate a surge of tourists during the Chinese New Year period, with the number of airport users projected to double compared to the previous Chinese New Year, announced AoT President. Thai News Agency (TNA) quoted AoT President Kerati Kijmanawat as saying that the number of passengers utilising airport services is anticipated to experience a remarkable 206% increase compared to the same period last year. "This remarkable surge signifies the success of various government initiatives, including border reopenings and visa exemptions, in attracting tourists back to Thailand," Kijmanawat emphasized.
