Abu Dhabi: VLC Holdings Ltd (VLCHD), a Japanese technology company listed on the Nagoya Stock Exchange, and Cyber Falcon Cyber Security Services, a subsidiary of Inovartic Investment based in Abu Dhabi, have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to set up cybersecurity training facilities across the UAE.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was formalized during the Abu Dhabi-Tokyo Business Connect forum, which was recently organized by the Abu Dhabi Chamber in Tokyo, Japan. As part of the agreement, VLCHD will provide its Cyber Arena platform, a sophisticated simulation system designed for cyber defense training, which Cyber Falcon will deploy at selected customer sites throughout the UAE.
The initiative targets critical sectors within the country, such as government agencies, banks, and the power generation industry, offering practical cybersecurity training to enhance their capacity to counter cyber threats. The project is slated for completion, with the first training ground operational by December 31, 2025, representing a significant advancement in the region's cybersecurity capabilities.
The signing ceremony was attended by Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Second Vice Chairman and Managing Director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Al Dhaheri expressed his congratulations to both companies, emphasizing the value of this collaboration in achieving shared goals and supporting the Abu Dhabi Chamber's ambitions to expand local business activities both regionally and globally. He highlighted the partnership's role in fostering innovative collaborations that bolster the business climate in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, particularly in smart and critical sectors.
Norihiko Ishihara, CEO and President of VLC Holdings Ltd, remarked on the partnership as a new chapter in enhancing regional cybersecurity readiness. By introducing the Cyber Arena to the UAE in collaboration with Cyber Falcon, institutions will be equipped with innovative tools to enhance their defenses against emerging cyber threats.
