Baku: Petroleum Development Oman emerged victorious in the 'Masters' category of the World Oil and Gas Cup 2025, defeating Germany's Zien Group. OQ Group from Oman claimed the title in the 'Elite' category by overcoming Azerbaijan's SOCAR. According to Emirates News Agency, the four-day tournament commenced on May 9th at the 'ASK Arena' stadium in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The event featured 12 elite 7-a-side football teams, representing major oil companies from Asia, Africa, and Europe. Ali Al-Maani, Chairman of the Organising Committee, expressed that the committee is committed to finalising arrangements for the tournament's second edition. The aim is to achieve high levels of success and to attract more companies from the Gulf region and beyond.
