Zayed Humanitarian Day Embodies Founding Father’s Legacy of Giving, Compassion: Abdulla Al Hamed

Abu Dhabi: Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office (NMO) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the UAE Media Council, stated that Zayed Humanitarian Day serves as a significant occasion to honor the legacy of the UAE's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He noted that Sheikh Zayed laid the foundations of the nation's development on principles such as generosity, goodwill, tolerance, and compassion.

According to Emirates News Agency, Al Hamed emphasized that Sheikh Zayed's approach to humanitarianism has become a source of inspiration worldwide, with his name becoming synonymous with philanthropy. His charitable initiatives have left a lasting impact on those who have benefited from them, establishing him as a global symbol of humanitarianism.

Al Hamed further mentioned that the UAE, under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, continues the humanitarian journey initiated by Sheikh Zayed. This ongoing commitment has bolstered the UAE's status as a leader in global humanitarian efforts, offering a model of solidarity and assistance. He noted that the UAE provides aid daily to those in need across various humanitarian, relief, and charitable sectors.

Additionally, Al Hamed highlighted the vital role of media in promoting the humanitarian values instilled by Sheikh Zayed. He pointed out that media platforms act as a bridge between the past and the future, ensuring that Zayed's legacy is passed on to future generations.
