KUWAIT CITY: Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office (NMO) and Chairman of the UAE Media Council (UAEMC), has reiterated the UAE's dedication to enhancing Gulf media cooperation. He emphasized efforts to develop the media landscape in GCC countries, which in turn supports sustainable development across various sectors in the region. This statement was made during his meeting with UAE media professionals attending the Arab Media Forum in Kuwait.
According to Emirates News Agency, Abdulla Al Hamed highlighted the UAE's ongoing commitment to building a national media sector characterized by professionalism and responsibility. He noted the significant role media professionals play in representing their nation and maintaining its reputation by presenting an accurate and balanced portrayal of the country's achievements and societal values such as tolerance, coexistence, and respect.
He further elaborated on the evolving role of media, stating that it has transcended beyond merely conveying news to becoming a partner in elevating countries' international standing and shaping their global image.
