Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in phone calls with several foreign ministers to address the latest regional and international developments, focusing on the repercussions of unprovoked Iranian missile attacks targeting the UAE and other nations in the region.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Abdullah held discussions with Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of Guyana; Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan; Antonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy; Ignazio Cassis, Vice President of the Swiss Confederation; Jean-No«l Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France; Winston Peters, Minister of Foreign Affairs of New Zealand; and Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
The conversations centered on the implications of these developments for regional security and stability, as well as their potential impact on the global economy and energy security. The ministers emphasized the importance of enhancing international coordination and collaborative efforts to maintain regional stability.
Sheikh Abdullah and the ministers conveyed their strong condemnation of the Iranian missile attacks, highlighting their opposition to such actions, which they described as violations of international law and the United Nations Charter, posing direct threats to the security and sovereignty of states.
