Abdullah Bin Zayed Engages in Diplomatic Talks Following Iranian Missile Attacks

Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in phone calls with various foreign ministers and officials to deliberate on recent regional developments after Iranian missile attacks on the UAE and neighboring countries.

According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions involved Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs of China; Masrour Barzani, Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq; Sugiono, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia; Juan Ram³n de la Fuente, Secretary of Foreign Affairs of Mexico; Youssef Rajji, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lebanon; Ronald Lamola, Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa; and Nikos Dendias, Minister of National Defence of Greece.

The conversations focused on the repercussions of the escalation and its implications for regional security and stability, along with the potential negative impact on international trade, energy security, and the global economy.

Sheikh Abdullah and the ministers condemned the Iranian missile attacks on the UAE and other countries, emphasizing their rejection of such acts, which violate international law and the United Nations Charter. They affirmed the right of the affected countries to take necessary measures to protect their sovereignty, security, and the safety of their citizens and residents.

Sheikh Abdullah appreciated the ministers for their stance and solidarity with the UAE, reassuring that all residents and visitors in the country are safe.

The ministers highlighted the importance of international efforts to contain tensions and prevent the conflict from escalating, advocating for political solutions and diplomatic measures to enhance regional security and stability.
