New York:H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, joined a meeting hosted by US President Donald Trump alongside several leaders and foreign ministers from Arab and Islamic nations during the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting included notable figures such as His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan, H.H. Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, President of Turkey, among others. The discussions focused on regional developments, Middle East stability, and aspirations for development and economic prosperity.
The participants also explored ways to enhance international cooperation to support peace, development, and stability, addressing both regional and global challenges.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed praised President Trump's efforts to promote security and development in the Middle East and reiterated the UAE's commitment to supporting peace initiatives that bolster security and prosperity in the region.
Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the strong strategic relations between the UAE and the United States, emphasizing mutual trust, respect, and shared interests that underpin their cooperation in various sectors. The meeting was also attended by Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Saeed bin Mubarak Al Hajeri, and Yousef Al Otaiba from the UAE.
