Abu Dhabi:The Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI) has recognized 14 companies under its Sustainability Label programme during its participation in ADIPEC 2026. This recognition brings the total number of companies awarded the Label to 68.
According to Emirates News Agency, the milestone reflects growing engagement across Abu Dhabi's business community in adopting more sustainable corporate practices and strengthening its readiness to respond to evolving market requirements and future growth opportunities.
The recognition is part of the Abu Dhabi Chamber's efforts to enhance private sector competitiveness by enabling companies to assess their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop organizational capabilities. Ali Mohamed Al Marzooqi, Director-General of the Abu Dhabi Chamber, emphasized the importance of integrating sustainability into business operations to advance corporate practices.
The Sustainability Label programme offers a framework for performance assessment, capacity building, and continuous improvement, aiding companies in environmental management, social responsibility, and corporate governance. It also prepares them for sustainability requirements influencing investment decisions and market access.
The 14 recognized companies were categorized into four distinctions Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Appreciation. Notable companies include Akwad Tech Network Websites Designing LLC and NMDC Energy in the Gold category, and Gulf Extrusion Automotive and Industries in the Silver category. The diverse range of companies spans multiple sectors such as energy services, manufacturing, and healthcare, showcasing the programme's relevance across the economy.
The Abu Dhabi Chamber's participation in ADIPEC 2026 aims to bring together industry leaders to exchange expertise and explore collaboration opportunities. The Sustainability Label programme previously earned the Best Sustainability Initiative award at the 10th Abu Dhabi Sustainable Business Leadership Awards.
