Abu dhabi: The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC) and Al Ain Farms have joined forces through a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance cooperation on initiatives aimed at promoting healthier and more sustainable lifestyles among residents. The partnership focuses on fostering preventive behaviours that contribute to overall wellbeing and quality of life.
According to Emirates News Agency, the collaboration will see the two entities work together on community programmes, such as RunYAS, Abu Dhabi's prominent community running event scheduled for January 11th at Yas Marina Circuit. This event is designed to bring together residents, families, runners, and corporate teams to encourage movement, wellness, and community engagement.
The agreement is an extension of their previous cooperation during the Festival of Health in December, where Al Ain Farms participated as a strategic partner. The festival, a multi-week event, focused on key areas such as nutrition, movement, sleep, and mental wellbeing, with Al Ain Farms providing nutrition-led experiences to help families make healthier food choices in tandem with physical activity.
Dr. Rashed Al Suwaidi, Director-General of ADPHC, emphasized the centre's commitment to building a healthier society by prioritizing prevention and awareness in daily life. He highlighted that the partnership would bolster efforts to enhance public health by broadening nutrition education and encouraging positive behaviours within the community.
Hassan Safi, Group CEO of Al Ain Farms Group, reiterated the company's focus on community wellbeing, stating that the collaboration with ADPHC would facilitate better access to health information and experiences for families across the emirate.
