Ahmed bin Saeed Presents Patrick Reed Hero Dubai Desert Classic Trophy After Thrilling Victory

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, presented the prestigious Dallah Trophy to Patrick Reed at Emirates Golf Club. The American golfer claimed his fourth DP World Tour title with a four-shot victory at the 2026 Hero Dubai Desert Classic. According to Emirates News Agency, the 35-year-old Reed maintained his composure on a challenging front nine, carding eight pars and one bogey to see his overnight lead cut to two shots. David Puig briefly closed the gap with a hat-trick of birdies from the eighth hole, but Reed responded with a birdie at the tenth. Reed regained a four-shot lead after birdying the 13th and Puig bogeying the same hole, eventually finishing with a 14 under par total. Reed's performance marked him as the sixth American to win the Dallah trophy, achieving his first Rolex Series event win at Emirates Golf Club. Reflecting on his victory, Reed ac knowledged the challenge of the final round and credited his caddie, Kessler Karain, for encouraging him to remain focused. The tournament saw significant movement on the leaderboard, with Puig making strategic plays to challenge Reed. However, Reed's steady play and strategic birdies secured his victory. Other notable performances included Andy Sullivan finishing second with a one-under 71 and Julien Guerrier securing third place at nine under.
