Ajman:The Ajman Municipality and Planning Department has been awarded an Innovation Certification by the Global Innovation Institute (GInI) for its 'Building Compliance Package'. This recognition highlights the department's innovative approach to enhancing building safety and security through digital solutions and improved integration among government entities.
According to Wam, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Ajman Municipality and Planning Department, received the certification, which aligns with Ajman Vision 2030's objectives and the strategic goal of achieving comprehensive urban management. The certification underscores the department's dedication to adopting innovative initiatives and developing proactive solutions that address community needs and enhance the quality of life.
The Building Compliance Package emphasizes the importance of integration among government entities in service development and procedural efficiency improvement, contributing to a safer and more sustainable urban environment. Sheikh Rashid commended the teams responsible for the Building Compliance Package, which integrates tenancy contract attestation procedures with building compliance requirements related to safety and security standards. The package also facilitates data exchange and verification of compliance certificates through integration with partner entities.
During the occasion, a briefing was provided by Engineer Ahmed bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director of the Buildings Department, on the package's objectives, operational mechanisms, and key outcomes. The package plays a crucial role in establishing an integrated framework for verifying buildings' compliance with safety and security requirements.
Developed in cooperation with the Ajman Police General Headquarters and Ajman Civil Defence General Directorate, the Building Compliance Package contributes to streamlining procedures and strengthening proactive oversight, supporting efforts to ensure compliance with building safety and security standards.
