Abu Dhabi:Al Ain Farms Group, the United Arab Emirates' leading producer of protein and beverages, announced a new identity for its camel milk brand, Camelait, during Global Food Week. The company revealed plans to expand production and commercial reach into Europe and China, while enhancing research and industry capabilities in the UAE.
According to Emirates News Agency, Camelait aims to leverage Al Ain Farms Group's experience in camel milk production, dating back to 2001, through an international model that focuses on local market development and production. New collaborations with Khalifa University and Khalifa University Enterprises Company will explore the application of camel milk research into new products. Additionally, new manufacturing capabilities in Germany and China, along with commercial partnerships, will support this expansion.
Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade, emphasized the UAE's commitment to building a competitive economic model that leverages innovation and openness to global markets. He highlighted Camelait as an example of Emirati companies combining authenticity with innovation to create products with global appeal.
Tareq Abdulraheem Al Hosani, Chairman of the Board at Al Ain Farms Group, expressed the company's ambition to elevate camel milk to a modern functional nutrition category with global relevance through investment, science, and international collaboration.
The global camel milk market is expected to reach approximately $24 billion by 2030, growing at a rate of 9.4% annually. The strategy follows the Codex Alimentarius Commission's approval of a UAE initiative to establish the first international standard for pasteurized camel milk, intended to harmonize quality and support trade.
Hassan Safi, Group CEO at Al Ain Farms Group, stated that the company's strategy focuses on building a business close to the market, with production and strong commercial partnerships tailored to local needs.
In Europe, Al Ain Farms Group is collaborating with Belgium-based Eurofit to establish a joint venture in Abu Dhabi Global Market, focusing initially on producing UHT camel milk in Germany. This partnership aims to tap into the European nutrition and supplements market.
In China, Camelait's expansion involves partnerships with Zhejiang Hengsheng Holding as the exclusive distributor and Suzhou Biology Healthy Technology Co., Ltd as the local manufacturing partner. This collaboration will enable the production of camel milk products tailored to Chinese consumer preferences.
