Abu Dhabi:SEHA Clinics, part of PureHealth, has become the first healthcare provider in the UAE and MENA region to receive the American Accreditation Commission International (AACI) Endoscopy Services Certification. This achievement highlights their commitment to offering internationally benchmarked endoscopy services, which aid in early diagnosis and improved patient outcomes throughout Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, the certification instills greater confidence in patients by providing safe and internationally accredited diagnostic care locally, reducing the necessity to seek specialist services elsewhere. This supports the early detection of gastrointestinal conditions, accelerates clinical decision-making, and enhances health outcomes.
The certification, which is valid from 2026 to 2029, was awarded after a thorough independent assessment. It acknowledges SEHA Clinics' dedication to quality, clinical governance, patient safety, and continuous improvement in their endoscopy services.
Dr. Khadija Al Marashda, Chief Executive Officer of SEHA Clinics, emphasized the importance of meeting the highest international standards for patient care. She stated that the certification reflects their commitment to delivering safe and consistent services, aiming for better long-term health outcomes by integrating internationally recognized standards into community healthcare.
The certification was granted to the Endoscopy Services at Al Zafaranah Diagnostic and Screening Center in Abu Dhabi and Oud Al Touba Diagnostic and Screening Centre in Al Ain. SEHA Clinics performed a total of 1,511 endoscopy procedures in 2025 and an additional 703 procedures in the first half of 2026, aiding in the early detection and management of gastrointestinal conditions.
Dheeraj Khatore, CEO of AACI MENA/India and Board Member of AACI America, congratulated SEHA Clinics on this significant achievement, which sets a regional benchmark for adopting internationally recognized standards in community healthcare.
