Chongqing: H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, visited the Changan Automobile R and D Centre, a prominent automotive manufacturer in China, during his official trip to Chongqing. During this visit, Sheikh Ammar was briefed on Changan's advancements in smart mobility and low-carbon vehicle manufacturing. According to Emirates News Agency, Changan executives shared their strategic vision for becoming a leader in intelligent mobility, supported by an extensive R and D network consisting of 16 centres and 180 laboratories, with a team from 31 countries. Sheikh Ammar was introduced to innovations like the Smart Battery Management System and plans for developing solid-state batteries with a high energy density by 2030. Sheikh Ammar expressed admiration for Changan's projects, emphasizing their alignment with Ajman's vision for a diversified, knowledge-based economy. He noted the importance of collaborating with global innovators to achieve nat ional goals for a green economy. The visit included a delegation from Ajman, highlighting the emirate's commitment to exploring economic and technological partnerships. Changan Automobile, known for brands like DEEPAL and Changan Ford, operates a global sales and service network, employing over 82,000 people. Sheikh Ammar also toured the Chongqing Sanfeng Environment Group Corp., Ltd, a leading waste-to-energy facility in China. The facility processes over 3,000 tonnes of waste daily, converting it into clean energy. Sheikh Ammar examined the company's advanced systems for environmental treatment and smart technology integration. The Crown Prince acknowledged the facility's role in advancing the circular economy and reducing carbon footprints. He highlighted the potential for collaboration with global leaders to inform sustainable development efforts in the UAE.
