Abu dhabi: The Dubai Land Department (DLD) has introduced the 'Real Estate Diploma' in collaboration with the Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) to cultivate skilled national talent equipped with the essential knowledge and practical expertise required for the real estate sector.
According to Emirates News Agency, this initiative merges the practical insights of the Dubai Land Department with the academic proficiency of the Higher Colleges of Technology to create an accredited professional programme. This programme concentrates on integrating theoretical understanding with practical application, catering to the evolving needs of the UAE's real estate market.
The 'Real Estate Diploma' is designed to prepare 40 participants per batch over a two-year span, encompassing 90 accredited hours. Participants will explore specialised fields such as property management, real estate valuation and appraisal, and real estate brokerage. This comprehensive curriculum is intended to enhance the participants' capability to enter the workforce with assurance and competence.
During the diploma's launch ceremony, DLD entered into cooperation agreements with leading UAE real estate developers like Emaar Properties, Sobha Realty, and Aldar Properties, among others. These agreements aim to support the diploma by offering practical training opportunities and aligning educational outcomes with market needs, thus fostering the integration of qualified national talent into the real estate sector.
Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, Director-General of the Dubai Land Department, emphasized the significance of investing in people, highlighting that the sector's strength lies in the competence of its workforce. He noted that the launch of the diploma is part of a strategy to prepare individuals to adeptly navigate market realities with a professional mindset, further contributing to the sector's sustainability and growth.
Dr. Faisal Al Ayyan, President and CEO of the Higher Colleges of Technology, underscored the importance of the partnership with DLD in supporting HCT's strategic goals. He pointed out that the 'Real Estate Diploma' aligns with the current and future needs of the industry by providing a professional diploma track. This approach aims to diversify educational options and meet the market's demand for applied and technological skills.
The programme not only aims to attract individuals interested in advancing their careers in real estate but also provides pathways for graduates to continue their academic pursuits or apply for professional licenses. This initiative is part of DLD's continuous efforts to develop human capital in line with the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Social Agenda 33.
