Dubai: The organising committee of GOTECH 2025 has unveiled the official agenda for the seventh edition of the technology conference at a press conference in Dubai. The event is scheduled to take place from April 21 to 23, 2025, under the patronage and presence of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Energy in Dubai.
According to Emirates News Agency, GOTECH is recognized as one of the leading conferences in the oil and gas sector. This year's event will be held under the theme "Towards a Digital and Sustainable Future of Energy" and will bring together global leaders, innovators, and experts to discuss emerging trends and challenges shaping the energy landscape.
The conference is organised in collaboration with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and Dragon Oil. It will serve as a key platform for dialogue on technological advancement and sustainability in the energy sector. The Honorary President of the Organising Committee, Ali Rashid Al Jarwan, CEO of Dragon Oil, a company fully owned by the Government of Dubai, emphasized the importance of supporting digital transformation and innovation in the energy sector.
Al Jarwan highlighted that the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum underscores Dubai's position as a global hub for knowledge and technology. As Dragon Oil celebrates its 25th anniversary, he noted that GOTECH 2025 provides an exceptional platform to exchange ideas and drive innovation in digital transformation and sustainability.
Michelle Boyd, General Manager of Events at the Society of Petroleum Engineers, stated that the energy sector is undergoing significant transformations. She noted that GOTECH 2025 offers a unique opportunity for sector leaders to discuss the intersection of technology, sustainability, and talent development.
The conference agenda includes panel discussions on topics such as digital transformation, talent and skills development, low-carbon technologies, innovative strategies for mature assets, and fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in the energy sector. Additionally, technical sessions will cover analytics and machine learning, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, and advanced drilling technologies.
Workshops will focus on offshore operations excellence through technology, innovation, and sustainability. A dedicated university platform will allow students to interact with industry leaders and showcase their projects and research on energy and digital technologies.
The accompanying technology exhibition will feature products and solutions from over 48 exhibitors, enabling attendees to engage with innovators and explore advancements in digital transformation and sustainability.
