Dubai World Cup Gears Up for 30th Edition at Meydan

Dubai: The 30th running of the Dubai World Cup will take place at Meydan on March 28, 2026, as announced by the Dubai Racing Club. This event marks a significant milestone in the horse racing calendar, promising to draw global attention.

According to Emirates News Agency, the 2025/26 Dubai Racing Carnival will feature 17 meetings, starting on November 7, 2025, and culminating in the Dubai World Cup. Emirates Super Saturday, an essential preparatory event for the World Cup night, is scheduled for February 28, 2026.

Sheikh Rashed bin Dalmook Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Racing Club, emphasized the event's significance, noting its status as a prominent sporting and social spectacle. The 30th edition will welcome top horses, jockeys, and connections internationally.

The Carnival will feature four major days, each combining elite racing with Dubai's hospitality. Festive Friday on December 19, 2025, kicks off the season with the G2 Maktoum Mile. Fashion Friday on January 23, 2026, will feature the G1 Al Maktoum Challenge. Emirates Super Saturday on February 28, 2026, serves as a rehearsal for the World Cup, with the G2 Al Maktoum Classic leading into the main event. Dubai World Cup Night on March 28, 2026, will be the highlight, attracting the global sporting audience to Meydan.
