Abu dhabi: Emiratos rabes Unidos reiterated its support for the Sudanese people in their aspiration to achieve peace, stability, and a dignified future. Since the beginning of the civil war, the country has consistently supported regional and international efforts to achieve an immediate ceasefire, protect the civilian population, and ensure accountability for violations committed by all parties in conflict.
According to Emirates News Agency, the UAE reaffirmed its commitment to a civilian-led process that prioritizes the needs of the Sudanese people over the interests of any faction. In this regard, Abu Dhabi denounced a notable increase in unfounded accusations and deliberate propaganda by the so-called Port Sudan Authority-one of the warring parties-which, according to the Emirati government, actively undermines attempts to end the war and restore stability. These growing falsehoods are part of a calculated strategy to divert attention, blame third parties, evade responsibility, and prolong the conflict, thus blocking a genuine peace process.
The UAE reiterated its steadfast commitment to work closely with its partners to foster dialogue, mobilize international support, and contribute to initiatives addressing the humanitarian crisis and laying the foundations for lasting peace. The goal, it emphasized, is to help build a secure and stable future for Sudan, in line with the aspirations of its brotherly people to achieve peace and development.
