ERC Signs Agreement to Supply Eid Sacrificial Meat in Yemen’s Hadhramaut

Al Mukalla: The Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) has signed an agreement with a leading commercial company in Al Mukalla to provide sacrificial meat as part of its Eid al-Adha initiative aimed at supporting underprivileged families in the Hadhramaut Governorate.

According to Emirates News Agency, the initiative seeks to alleviate financial burdens and bring joy to families during the religious holiday, underscoring the ERC's ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities. During the signing ceremony, Hamid Rashid Al Shamsi, Advisor for Development and International Cooperation and ERC Representative in Hadramaut Governorate, reiterated the authority's commitment to ensuring the success of the project.

He explained that the initiative reflects the ERC's core values and aims to strengthen the bonds of social solidarity. Al Shamsi emphasized that it will bring relief and happiness to hundreds of families, embodying the UAE's long-standing tradition of compassion and giving, particularly during Eid al-Adha.

ERC teams are set to distribute the sacrificial meat across Hadhramaut's districts, giving priority to families facing hardship, including orphans, those with limited income, and people of determination. The initiative is part of the ERC's ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts in the governorate, aimed at improving living conditions and reinforcing the values of giving and solidarity within the community.
