Expo Centre Sharjah Engages in Strategic Discussions at ICCA Middle East Summit

Manama: Expo Centre Sharjah, represented by its CEO Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, actively participated in the inaugural ICCA Middle East Summit 2025 held in Bahrain. The summit gathered leaders, innovators, and decision-makers from the conference and exhibition industry, along with over 100 regional and international experts.

According to Emirates News Agency, Al Midfa commenced his engagement with a series of business meetings, notably with Dr Senthil Gopinath, CEO of ICCA. Their discussions centered on the future of international business events and the potential impact of artificial intelligence in advancing the global meetings industry. Both parties emphasized the importance of global cooperation among exhibition centers and the initiation of specialized trade fairs that bolster economic growth in various sectors.

In another significant meeting, Al Midfa conversed with Sara Ahmed Buhiji, CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and Chairperson of Exhibition World Bahrain. Their discussions explored potential future collaborations and strategies to attract large-scale events. They also highlighted the necessity of advanced infrastructure to maintain the region's competitiveness in the global events industry.

Al Midfa reiterated Expo Centre Sharjah's dedication to fostering innovation and regional cooperation in the MICE sector. He emphasized the importance of adopting global best practices and smart technologies. Al Midfa also noted that integrating artificial intelligence and smart technologies into exhibition operations enhances efficiency, provides actionable insights, and improves the experience for both visitors and exhibitors, thereby creating greater value for all stakeholders.
