Abu dhabi: The Family Development Foundation has organised the 8th Forum for Senior Citizens at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre to mark the International Day of Older Persons. Held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak 'Mother of the Nation', the event focused on empowering senior citizens and addressing their health, social, and digital inclusion challenges.
According to Emirates News Agency, the forum was attended by prominent figures, including Sana bint Mohammed Suhail, Minister of Family; Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, Chairman of the Department of Community Development; and Dr. Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC). Maryam Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Director-General of the Family Development Foundation, was also present, along with senior officials from various sectors and strategic partners.
The forum provided a platform for discussing key issues faced by senior citizens and exploring strategies for their empowerment. It brought together representatives from the social, health, economic, and media sectors to collaborate on solutions that can enhance the quality of life for the elderly population.
