FNC and Hungarian National Assembly Forge IT and AI Partnership

Budapest: Dr. Omar Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Federal National Council (FNC), has engaged in discussions with Dr. Gy¶rgy Such, Director-General of the National Assembly of Hungary, focusing on technical and administrative cooperation at the assembly's headquarters in Budapest. The meeting aimed at enhancing collaboration in technical and IT sectors, utilizing artificial intelligence in parliamentary functions, and exchanging expertise in specialized areas.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting was part of an official FNC delegation visit to Hungary, attended by Afra Rashid Al Basti, Deputy Secretary-General of Parliamentary Communication at the FNC. Al Nuaimi highlighted that bilateral cooperation is expected to progress following the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the FNC and the Hungarian National Assembly. He acknowledged Hungary's parliamentary tradition and its advanced legislative systems.

Al Nuaimi emphasized the significance of regular exchanges and coordination, particularly in regional and international parliamentary forums. Dr. Gy¶rgy Such shared insights into the Hungarian secretariat's development of IT and AI systems, especially those used for managing legislative processes, recording parliamentary debates, and supporting the parliamentary library's role.

The meeting concluded with Dr. Al Nuaimi extending an official invitation to Dr. Gy¶rgy to visit the UAE and the Federal National Council to explore the country's parliamentary operations and the specialized functions of the FNC secretariat.
