Brasilia: Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Committee on Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs in the Federal National Council (FNC), engaged in discussions with Senator Davi Alcolumbre, President of the Senate of the Federative Republic of Brazil, during the 11th BRICS Parliamentary Forum at the National Congress in Brasilia. The meeting was attended by FNC member Sara Falaknaz and UAE Ambassador to Brazil, Saleh Ahmed Al Suwaidi.
According to Emirates News Agency, Senator Alcolumbre commended the participation of the UAE delegation in the forum, underscoring the significance of bolstering parliamentary connections as a means to expand cooperative efforts. He acknowledged the UAE's contributions to transparency and economic development on regional and international fronts.
Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted the robust bilateral relations between the UAE and Brazil, identifying Brazil as a strategic partner in numerous sectors. He stressed the necessity of enhancing cooperation in development projects that would benefit both nations. The discussions focused on exploring opportunities in advanced technology, energy, and economic investment to foster sustainable strategic partnerships.
During the session, Dr. Al Nuaimi presented an official letter from Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council, inviting the President of the Brazilian Senate to visit the UAE.
In another meeting, Dr. Al Nuaimi also conferred with Sergei Rachkov, Chairman of the Standing Commission for Foreign Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus. Both parties reaffirmed the strength of UAE-Belarus relations and the importance of enhancing parliamentary cooperation. They emphasized the need for ongoing dialogue and coordination to achieve shared strategic objectives.
Dr. Al Nuaimi, accompanied by FNC member Sara Falkanaz, remarked on the rapid development of UAE-Belarus relations, highlighting opportunities for collaboration across sectors. He stressed the importance of forming effective partnerships and adopting flexible and innovative cooperation models to address global challenges.
