French Consul General Commends Holy Quran Academy’s Global Impact

Sharjah: Jean Christophe Paris, the Consul General of the French Republic in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, praised His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his pivotal role in establishing the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah.

According to Emirates News Agency, Paris highlighted the Academy's significance as a notable academic hub that enhances global connections by sharing the knowledge and heritage of the Quran worldwide. His remarks were made during a visit to the Academy, accompanied by his deputy, Ilhami Gulcen. They were warmly received by Dr. Eng. Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, President of the Academy, Abdullah Khalaf Al-Hosani, Secretary-General of the Academy, and several department directors.

During the visit, the Academy's President guided the French delegation through the Quranic museums, elaborating on the institution's mission and its three main pillars: the Sharjah Global Electronic Quran Recitation Platform, which provides Quranic certifications in various narrations; the Department of Studies and Scientific Research, focusing on academic and research initiatives; and the Quranic Museums, which highlight the history of Quranic manuscript writing and its associated sciences.

Paris expressed his admiration, stating, "I was honoured to visit the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah, a prominent institution in the emirate and a centre of knowledge, preservation, and transmission of Quranic sciences in the Islamic world." He was particularly impressed by the rare and ancient manuscripts, historical textiles from the Holy Kaaba in Makkah, and the legacies of renowned Quran reciters on display.

Additionally, Paris lauded the efforts of the Ruler of Sharjah in creating an institution that serves as a bridge between nations and religions. The Academy attracts more than 400 students from over 172 countries annually, underscoring its global reach and impact.
