Fujairah Crown Prince Reviews Natural Resources Development Efforts

Abu Dhabi:H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, met with Ali Qasim, Director-General of the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, at the Emiri Court to discuss ongoing development projects.

According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the importance of strategic planning and the sustainable use of natural resources, while also highlighting the necessity of collaboration with relevant authorities and the private sector to support Fujairah's development.

The meeting also addressed the role of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, in supporting the emirate's natural resources and mining industries. These sectors are seen as crucial for sustainable and comprehensive development in Fujairah and the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the corporation's initiatives, including its plans to enhance service delivery and develop national capabilities. The corporation has aligned its services with international best practices and participated in the sixth cycle of the Global Star Rating System for Services, achieving a four-star rating in its pilot phase. This rating made it the first local entity in Fujairah to implement the system, aiding in assessing service readiness and identifying improvement opportunities.

The review also covered recent key development projects in Fujairah's natural resources sector. Sheikh Mohammed praised the corporation's efforts in advancing the natural resources and mining sectors, stressing the importance of developing national talent with expertise in mining, geology, and artificial intelligence to meet future sector demands.

Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince of Fujairah, also attended the meeting.
