Al ain: H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Ain Region, has visited the headquarters of Al Ain City Municipality, where he was briefed on major development projects being implemented across several vital sectors in Al Ain Region.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed received a comprehensive presentation on updates to several development projects, including the Al Rawdha Square project, which aims to enhance infrastructure and public facilities. The Oasis Projects, which symbolize the region's natural and historic agricultural heritage, were also highlighted for their role in preserving the environmental character of the region and promoting it as a tourism and cultural destination.
Sheikh Hazza reviewed plans to develop old neighborhoods to preserve Al Ain Region's heritage identity while enhancing the quality of life for residents by providing integrated modern services. The visit included an overview of the Al Ain DNA project, which seeks to blend history with modernity and reaffirm the region as a cultural and tourism hub.
Additionally, Sheikh Hazza received a briefing on proposed projects for 2026, which align with President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's vision for comprehensive and sustainable development across the region. These efforts aim to enhance quality of life for all community members.
During the visit, Sheikh Hazza emphasized the importance of progressing with development projects in Al Ain Region according to established plans and timelines. He noted that these projects are crucial for consolidating Al Ain's appeal as a leading development destination by balancing heritage preservation with infrastructure upgrades.
The visit also included a tour of the municipality's exhibition, showcasing its history and achievements in improving municipal services. Sheikh Hazza reviewed the partial redevelopment project of the municipality's main building and met with employees, praising their efforts and encouraging continued innovation in service to Al Ain Region and its residents.
H.H. Sheikh Hazza was accompanied by Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Rashed Musabbeh Al Manei, Director-General of Al Ain City Municipality, Engineer Maysarah Mahmoud Eid, Director-General of Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre, and several senior officials from Al Ain Municipality.
