Sharjah: The House of Wisdom in Sharjah has launched the third phase of its knowledge initiative, "Treasury of Wisdom", in collaboration with Arada Real Estate Development, at the Nest Arada Library located within the Nest student housing complex in Aljada. The initiative aims to enrich the knowledge resources available to students and academics near Sharjah University City and to support their educational and research journeys.
According to Emirates News Agency, the initiative was announced during an official ceremony attended by Marwa Al Aqroubi, Executive Director of the House of Wisdom, and Amit Arora, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Hospitality and Entertainment at Arada. The event underscored the importance of the project in supporting lifelong learning and enabling students and researchers to access diverse knowledge sources.
Under this collaboration, the House of Wisdom has supplied the Nest Library with over 2,000 titles, including academic resources, specialised dictionaries, and best-selling books. The content will be regularly updated with new titles, and a series of cultural events, workshops, and book clubs will be organised in the library to enrich students' intellectual and creative experiences.
Al Aqroubi stated that the new phase of the Treasury of Wisdom project reflects their belief in the importance of the vibrant academic environment near University City as an ideal model for integrated knowledge-based living. She added that the initiative seeks to expand access to knowledge sources and provide direct support to students where they are, thereby enhancing their academic and research experiences.
Amit Arora highlighted that the launch of the Treasury of Wisdom at Nest by Arada marks a significant milestone in their commitment to creating student-centred educational environments. The initiative, developed in partnership with the House of Wisdom, embodies the core of Arada's philosophy of connected living, where creativity, knowledge, and innovation converge to inspire future generations.
The House of Wisdom has also provided an integrated electronic platform within the Nest Library, enabling users to search for, borrow, and return books with ease. Borrowed books can also be returned to the House of Wisdom headquarters or any other "Treasury of Wisdom" location, expanding public access to the knowledge content available to the wider community.
This new phase builds on the success of the project's first two phases at the Maraya Art Centre and the Mleiha Archaeological Centre, reinforcing its role in enriching Sharjah's cultural landscape.
