In the Russian city of Belgorod, archeologists have found copper coins dating back to the reign of Empress Anna Ivanovna, minted in 1731 and 1738.

Archeologists also found similar coins that were used during the reign of Empress Elisabeth Petrovna, dating back to 1746 and 1749, as well as a 1896 brass 1 kopeck coin, and a 1917 German zinc 10 pfennig coin.

Coins with uneven edges were also found, made of silver and weighing 0.46 grams, archaeologists indicate that such money was minted during the reign of PrinceDmitry Donskoy at the end of the fourteenth century until the reign of Emperor Peter the Great at the beginning of the eighteenth century.

All the artifacts found at the site will be hand over to the Belgorod Regional Museum.
