IUCC 2026 Opens in Dubai with Focus on AI, Advanced Urology Care

Dubai: The sixth edition of the Interdisciplinary Urology Care Consortium (IUCC 2026), a leading event in the region for specialized medical gatherings, commenced today at the Conrad Dubai Hotel. The event has attracted over 600 physicians, specialists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from more than 14 countries.

According to Emirates News Agency, the forum, held on 6th and 7th June under the theme 'Transcending Therapies, Driving Technologies,' features over 76 international speakers and 29 participating companies and supporting organizations. The event is dedicated to scientific exchange, clinical collaboration, complex medical decision-making, and innovation in urological care.

This year's IUCC highlights the significant role of artificial intelligence and advanced digital technologies in urological surgery and related medical specialties. It also explores the future of data-driven healthcare and technology-enabled patient care. The forum discusses developments in uro-oncology, kidney diseases, men's health, and multidisciplinary urological care while supporting scientific collaboration and professional exchange.

The programme includes specialized workshops offering practical learning and hands-on experience. Topics covered include urinary incontinence, bladder cancer management, penile prosthesis surgery, and advanced endourological procedures. Scientific discussions focus on debates and controversies in urology, men's health, female urological surgery, and advanced medical technologies.

Dr. Yasser Farahat, IUCC Co-Chair, emphasized the forum's role as a global platform for exchanging expertise and discussing the latest developments in urological surgery. He noted the focus on integrating scientific innovation with clinical practice while addressing future challenges in the specialty. Dr. Farahat highlighted the importance of modern technologies, including AI, robotic surgery, and digital data analysis, in improving treatment accuracy and clinical outcomes.

The programme also features seven scientific sessions, more than nine practical workshops, and over 25 scientific poster presentations. Participants earn 14 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points accredited by the Dubai Health Authority. The event introduces AI-supported educational tools, virtual and augmented reality applications, and live demonstrations of the latest urological technologies.

Ambassador AbdulSalam AlMadani, Chairman of INDEX Holding, stated that the consortium is an advanced scientific platform contributing to reshaping global dialogue in urological surgery through multidisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based decision-making. He stressed the importance of gathering experts to explore innovative solutions for complex clinical challenges.

The IUCC, organized by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions in collaboration with the Arab Association of Urology, is supported by several regional and international scientific societies.
