KEZAD Group Unveils Plans for New Business District in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi - KEZAD Group, a leading operator of economic zones in the region, has announced the development of the KEZAD Business District (KBD), set to become Abu Dhabi's latest business hub.

According to Emirates News Agency, the KEZAD Business District is strategically positioned at the entrance of the E11 arterial corridor, linking the capital to the northern emirates. It forms part of the expansive 410 square kilometre KEZAD Al Ma'mourah master development. Initially planned to cover about 3 square kilometres, the district will be developed in phases, with infrastructure works already underway. The new developments will feature a 21,000 square metre office tower, sporting facilities, and food and beverage retail spaces adjacent to the KEZAD Group HQ building, KEZAD One.

The district offers excellent connectivity, being located along the E11 inter-emirate highway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with easy access to major logistics, industrial, and business areas. It is designed as an integrated mixed-use commercial hub to foster collaboration between academia, businesses, and industry, while also maintaining a vibrant social atmosphere.

KEZAD Business District is advantageously situated near three landmark projects: the twofour54 media production campus, the Abu Dhabi Food Hub, and the Global Auto Hub. The latter two are part of a pioneering public-private investment by KEZAD Group.

Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of Economic Cities and Free Zones at AD Ports Group, expressed confidence that the same ambition and creativity that have driven the development of one of the world's largest industrial ecosystems will be applied to the KEZAD Business District. He emphasized that the development aligns with KEZAD Group's commitment to Abu Dhabi's polycentric urban expansion and to providing comprehensive solutions for investors.

Al Hameli further highlighted the district's role in attracting new businesses and investments, reinforcing its potential to propel the nation's economy forward. The site is well-connected, with Khalifa Port and Zayed International Airport in close proximity, and access to the high-speed Etihad Rail and major highways.

Upon completion, KEZAD Business District will offer a compelling location for regional headquarters, research and innovation centres, and other operations, complemented by service providers and educational institutes. The district aims to establish itself as a key commercial centre and the heart of KEZAD's advanced manufacturing and economic ecosystem.
