Abu dhabi: Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alexandria University - Abu Dhabi, met with Dr Ayman Ashour, Egypt's Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, at the Ministry headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. The meeting focused on the executive progress concerning the inauguration of Alexandria University's campus in Abu Dhabi, set to launch in the 2025-2026 academic year.
According to Emirates Press Agency, the discussions also explored cooperation in higher education, scientific research, and academic exchange. The aim is to enhance research outcomes to build human capital and strengthen the knowledge economy in both countries.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed highlighted the strong ties between the UAE and Egypt, emphasizing their importance in advancing academic and scientific partnerships. He praised the rapid development and international recognition of Egypt's higher education system and the pioneering role of Alexandria University. The upcoming Abu Dhabi campus aims to provide advanced academic programs tailored to meet labor market needs and national development goals.
Dr. Ayman Ashour emphasized the historical and strategic relations between Egypt and the UAE. He expressed Egypt's eagerness to expand collaboration with Emirati academic institutions in various educational and research fields, contributing to national talent development and preparing future generations for innovation and participation in sustainable development.
