San antonio: A magnitude 4.5 earthquake struck Chile's San Antonio province on Sunday, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said. The quake's epicenter was located 47 kilometers from the Colchane area and had a depth of 121.1 kilometers.
According to Emirates News Agency, there have been no reports of casualties or material damage following the tremor. Chile, positioned along the Ring of Fire, frequently experiences seismic activity. In 2010, the country faced a devastating 8.8-magnitude earthquake, which, along with a subsequent tsunami, resulted in the deaths of around 500 people.
