Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE Olympic Committee and Vice Chairman of Dubai Health Board of Directors, attended The Hope Run, a charitable event organized by Al Jalila Foundation. The event took place in collaboration with the Dubai Healthcare City Authority and with support from the Dubai Sports Council.
According to Emirates News Agency, the event was held at the Dubai Healthcare City Phase 2 Promenade in Al Jaddaf and attracted over 1,500 participants, including 300 children, who ran distances ranging from 1 to 3 kilometers. The Hope Run was organized in support of The Child Fund, an initiative by Al Jalila Foundation aimed at providing specialized medical care to children in need.
The event was attended by notable figures such as Khalfan Juma Belhoul, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council; His Excellency Saeed Hareb, Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council; Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health; Dr. Amer Al Zarooni, CEO of Al Jalila Foundation; and other prominent leaders in the health and charitable sectors.
On the sidelines, Dubai Islamic Bank made a generous donation of AED10 million to support The Child Fund, showcasing the community's spirit of solidarity.
H.H. Sheikh Mansoor praised the efforts of participants and supporters, emphasizing the event's significance as part of the UAE's Year of Community 2025. He highlighted the role of sports in strengthening social bonds and fostering collective action.
Dr. Amer Sharif noted the initiative's alignment with Dubai Health's Patient First promise, highlighting the integration of healthcare and community engagement, empowering individuals to support children's health.
Launched in November 2023, The Child Fund aims to treat over 3,000 cases annually at Al Jalila Children's Hospital using advanced technologies and medical expertise.
Issam Galadari, CEO of Dubai Healthcare City Authority, emphasized the role of health as a cultural pillar and lifestyle, aligning with Dubai Healthcare City's commitment to promoting well-being and building a healthier future.
Abdullah Al Hamli, Chief Advisor to the Board of Directors at Dubai Islamic Bank, expressed the bank's commitment to initiatives impacting children facing health challenges, reflected in their AED10 million contribution to The Child Fund.
