Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Higher Committee for the Protection of the Rights of People of Determination, chaired the committee's first meeting of 2025 at Al Jalila Children's Development and Rehabilitation Center. The meeting was attended by committee members and representatives of relevant government entities.
According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions aligned with Executive Council Resolution No. (83) of 2024 and focused on building a more inclusive and equitable social support system for People of Determination. The meeting reviewed financial and social support initiatives across Dubai, covering caregiver support, medical and assistive devices, school tuition fees, and home environment adaptations to ensure dignity and independence.
Participating entities presented proposals addressing healthcare, education, social inclusion, and infrastructure within an integrated framework. Sheikh Mansoor emphasized the commitment to establishing a system that guarantees the rights of People of Determination and promotes their active participation in society, reflecting the leadership's vision of a more inclusive community as outlined in the Dubai Social Agenda 33.
Sheikh Mansoor highlighted the importance of developing policies and initiatives in coordination with relevant entities to ensure access to quality services for People of Determination. He also conducted a field visit to Al Jalila Children's Development and Rehabilitation Center to review and enhance service quality and efficiency.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on unifying efforts, updating centralized databases, and expanding support for vulnerable groups, in line with Dubai's vision of an inclusive society and a global model of empowerment and social justice.
