Abu Dhabi: His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tawazun Council, chaired the first meeting of the executive committee of Tawazun Council's board of directors for 2025. The meeting took place at Tawazun Defence Hall in Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, along with members of Tawazun Council's Executive Committee. The committee approved the Council's new Strategy 2025-2028 and its forward-looking implementation roadmap.
During the meeting, updates on operational and financial performance were reviewed, alongside the Council's defence industrial ambitions. The committee acknowledged Tawazun Council's achievements and highlighted the significance of the upcoming phase under the new strategy.
The new strategy focuses on enabling a pioneering and future-ready national defence sector. This objective will be pursued by enhancing procurement efficiency, providing key capabilities, supporting sustainable industry growth, establishing quality standards, and driving technological innovation and research and development to ensure readiness for future challenges.
