Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, met with a delegation of Kuwaiti businessmen at the UAE-Kuwait Economic Forum in Dubai. The event, part of the 'UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever' week, underscores the longstanding ties between the two nations and coincides with the preparatory day for the World Governments Summit 2026.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting included prominent Kuwaiti business figures from the Al Osaimi, Al Roudhan, Al Razouqi, Al Bahar, Al Kharafi, Al Rifai, Al Hasawi, AlSayer, Bukhamseen, and Alshaya families. Discussions centered on the historical and cooperative relationship between the UAE and Kuwait, highlighting the significant role Kuwaiti businessmen have played in the UAE's economy both before and after the formation of the Union.

His Highness emphasized the depth and uniqueness of the UAE-Kuwait relationship, noting that Kuwaiti nationals have been integral to the UAE's development. He expressed gratitude for their contributions, acknowledging the 'UAE and Kuwait: Brothers Forever' week as a testament to the enduring partnership and shared history between the two countries.

Sheikh Mohammed remarked on the importance of trade as a bridge for connection and trust among Gulf nations, recognizing the early presence of Kuwaiti merchants in UAE markets as both business partners and friends.

He also highlighted the success of Kuwaiti business ventures in the UAE, attributing it to the nation's open economic environment and the model of Gulf integration founded on trust and cooperation.
