Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, presided over the swearing-in of 35 Emirati judges appointed to the Dubai Courts. The ceremony took place at Zabeel Palace in Dubai, marking a significant event in the judicial landscape of the Emirate.
According to Emirates News Agency, the judges took their oaths in the presence of several key figures, including H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Chairman of the Dubai Judicial Council. Other dignitaries present included H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid extended his best wishes to the newly inducted judges, emphasizing the critical role of the judiciary in safeguarding rights, upholding the rule of law, and adhering to principles of impartiality and integrity. He highlighted that an independent judiciary is essential for societal stability, fostering public trust in institutions and protecting individual rights and dignity, contributing to a safe and harmonious society.
The new judges expressed their gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed for his guidance and trust, committing to performing their duties with integrity and fairness. The ceremony was also attended by Counsellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, Attorney-General of the Emirate of Dubai, Dr. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, Director-General of Dubai Courts, Judge Abdulqader Mousa Mohammed, Acting President of Dubai Courts for Judicial Affairs, and Dr. Abdullah Saif Al Sabousi, Secretary-General of the Dubai Judicial Council.
