Mohammed Bin Rashid Swears In New Judges of DIFC Courts


Dubai: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, swore in three new judges of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Courts. The ceremony witnessed the presence of prominent figures, including H.H. Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and President of the Dubai International Financial Centre; H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the UAE National Olympic Committee; and H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.



According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum conveyed his wishes for the new judges’ success, highlighting the importance of an efficient justice system as a fundamental part of a robust society and a flourishing economy. His Highness also emphasized the core values of integrity and transparency upon which DIFC was established, contributing to its status as a leading global financial centre. He noted that the judicial system plays a crucial role in maintaining this position.



The judges sworn in were Justice Patrick Keane, Justice Mark Pelling, and Justice Dato’ Mary Lim Thiam Suan. The ceremony also saw the attendance of Essa Kazim, Governor of DIFC, and Justice Omar Juma Al Muhairi, Director of DIFC Courts.
