Moroccan Delegation Explores Youth Empowerment Initiatives in Sharjah

Sharjah: A delegation from Morocco's Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication has visited Rubu' Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators in Sharjah to exchange expertise and review the foundation's approach to youth development. The visit is part of a broader programme aimed at enhancing collaboration and supporting initiatives that enhance youth skills in both Sharjah and Morocco.

According to Emirates News Agency, the Moroccan delegation was welcomed by Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director-General of Rubu' Qarn, along with directors from its member organisations: Sharjah Children, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, Sharjah Youth, and the Sharjah Foundation for Capacity Development. The Moroccan team included Kenza Abu Rumman, Director of the Youth Sector at Morocco's Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, and other key figures from the Ministry's strategic and executive departments.

Sheikha Jawaher emphasized the visit's significance in enhancing the already strong ties between the UAE and Morocco, underscoring their shared commitment to empowering future generations. She highlighted the recent visit by H.H. Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi to Morocco, which opened new avenues for cultural and social cooperation, with a particular focus on family and youth development. Sheikha Jawaher noted that Morocco's experience in youth programmes provides valuable insights for potential joint initiatives.

The week-long programme offers the Moroccan delegation a comprehensive overview of Rubu' Qarn's holistic system, including tours of its institutions such as Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, and Sharjah Capacity Building. The delegation will also explore Rubu' Qarn's specialised centres in science and technology, life skills, music, theatre, and performing arts.

Additionally, the delegation will visit FANN - Media Discovery Platform - to understand its role in fostering creative and innovative personalities among children and youth, as well as its contributions to sustainable development in media arts culture. Their agenda also includes visits to notable Sharjah institutions like the Sharjah Scouts Commission, the Sharjah Olympic Women's Sports Centre, and the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology, where they will learn about the "SharjahSat" project and the emirate's advancements in space and advanced technologies.
