Dubai: The Museum of the Future has welcomed five million visitors since its inauguration on February 22, 2022. Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Chairman of the Museum, highlighted that Dubai and the UAE have made designing the future a global goal, leveraging opportunities to create a better tomorrow.
According to Emirates News Agency, Al Gergawi's remarks came during the Museum's fourth anniversary, emphasizing its role as a leading destination for diverse cultures and nationalities. The Museum has become a platform for exchanging expertise and transforming forward-looking ideas into reality. It embodies the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum by bringing together leading minds to address tomorrow's challenges.
Over the past four years, the Museum has hosted 620 events, conferences, and talks on themes such as artificial intelligence and sustainable cities. It has organized 224 educational programs and workshops, aiming to inspire and equip various age groups and professional sectors.
In 2025, the Museum received visits from nine Heads of State and 46 Ministers, further solidifying its status as a hub for high-level engagement. As it enters its fifth year, the Museum continues to expand its global impact through initiatives like the Dubai Future Forum and the Future Talks series.
The Museum's initiatives include the 'Great Arab Minds' campaign, honoring 18 distinguished Arab scholars, and hosting influential figures like Sarah Jessica Parker to discuss sustainable jewelry. Its programs attract students, researchers, entrepreneurs, and policymakers, while partnerships with research institutions and global companies enhance its reach.
During the World Governments Summit 2026, the Museum was designated as the permanent home of the 'World Preservation Lab and BioVault,' in collaboration with Colossal Biosciences. This reflects the UAE's commitment to scientific innovation and environmental protection.
Architecturally, the Museum's iconic design stands 77 meters high, with a fa§ade featuring Arabic calligraphy. Sustainability is a core aspect, with over 30% of its energy needs met through solar sources. In 2023, it received LEED Platinum certification for energy and environmental design.
As it progresses, the Museum of the Future emphasizes its journey's impact, transforming challenges into opportunities and promoting a culture of scientific optimism and innovation. From its inception at the World Governments Summit to its global opening in 2022, the Museum stands as a prominent destination in the global knowledge community.
