Dubai: Major General Staff Pilot Ishaq Saleh Mohammed Al Balushi, Assistant Chief of Staff for Joint Capabilities at the Ministry of Defence, inaugurated the 8th edition of the National and Reserve Service Career Fair, which is being held from 12th to 14th May 2025 at the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City Dubai. Major General Al Balushi was joined by senior officers from the Ministry of Defence, representatives of the National Service and Reserve Authority, and other senior officials during his tour of the exhibition.
According to Emirates News Agency, the fair showcases a wide range of job opportunities for recruits and highlights the initiatives and support services backed by the Ministry of Defence. These efforts aim to empower national service graduates to build a promising generation of national talent capable of driving innovation and contributing to the country’s future economic development. Major General Al Balushi emphasized the importance of the fair as a national platform to integrate national service graduates into the labor market, thus enhancing the capabilities of national talent and developing human capital.
The event features participation from over 80 entities across approximately 30 fields in both the public and private sectors. These entities aim to support and encourage over 20,000 male and female Emirati participants in achieving professional success and contributing to national development. The fair is organized in line with the vision of the National and Reserve Service Authority to integrate recruits into the labor market and facilitate communication with participating entities.
Complementing the job opportunities, the fair also offers a comprehensive knowledge platform through more than 30 specialised workshops delivered by over 40 speakers, including global experts. These workshops cover critical topics related to global shifts in the labor market, such as the impact of emerging technologies and innovation, the future of jobs amid the rise of artificial intelligence, and the transformative role of AI in the workforce.
These interactive sessions are designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of current and former national service recruits, equipping them with the ability to excel in job interviews and choose suitable career paths. The sessions aim to prepare recruits and graduates to confidently enter the evolving job market, broadening their knowledge in line with global market requirements. The event underscores the UAE’s ongoing commitment to empowering its youth and investing in their potential, recognizing national talent as the country’s true wealth.
The National and Reserve Service Career Fair is held under the patronage of the Ministry of Defence and organized by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, a member of INDEX Holding.
