National Guard Commander Strengthens Ties with German Federal Police

Abu dhabi: Major General Saleh Mohammed bin Megren Al Ameri, Commander of the National Guard, visited several German Federal Police (Bundespolizei) commands and units during his ongoing visit to Germany. This initiative is part of a broader program aimed at enhancing security cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two nations.

According to Emirates News Agency, the itinerary included stops at the Directorate of Readiness and Rapid Response Police (Direktion Bundesbereitschaftspolizei) and the Aviation Group in Blumberg, as well as the Federal Police Inspectorates in Frankfurt and at Berlin Airport. At each location, Al Ameri was greeted by command and group directors and heads of inspectorates, who provided briefings on their units' roles and responsibilities within the German Federal Police.

Al Ameri took the opportunity to review the operational capabilities of these units, focusing on their readiness, rapid response, aviation, and security operations. He was also informed about their working methods, training programs, and operational coordination mechanisms.

The meetings included exchanges of expertise and experiences, facilitating discussions on mutual interests to adopt best practices in security operations. These visits are part of continued efforts to strengthen collaboration between the National Guard and the German Federal Police, aiming to expand the exchange of expertise and knowledge, thus supporting capability development and enhancing joint security operations.
